Overview

VerifiedCopy is a macOS utility that copies files and checks every copy matches the original — byte for byte. It operates entirely on your local machine with no network connectivity.

Data Collection

VerifiedCopy does not collect any data. Specifically:

• No personal information is collected, stored, or transmitted.
• No usage analytics or tracking data are gathered.
• No network requests are made. The app operates fully offline.
• No third-party services or SDKs are integrated.
• No advertising or tracking frameworks are used.

File Access

VerifiedCopy only accesses files and folders that you explicitly select through the macOS file picker. The app runs inside Apple's macOS app sandbox, a security boundary that prevents it from reaching any files beyond those you choose. File contents are read locally only to copy and verify them against the original, and are never transmitted anywhere.

Local Storage

VerifiedCopy stores your app preferences (such as chunk size, retry settings, and UI preferences) locally on your Mac using standard macOS mechanisms. These preferences never leave your device.

Notifications

VerifiedCopy may request permission to send local notifications to alert you when a copy or verification operation completes. These notifications are generated entirely on your device.

Children's Privacy

VerifiedCopy does not collect any data from any user, including children under the age of 13.

Changes to This Policy

If this privacy policy is updated, the revised version will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
